Developed by Qlayers in exclusive partnership with Van der Ende Steel Protectors Group in 2020, the 10Q™ transformed the coating of large industrial surfaces into a controlled, semi-automatic process executed remotely from ground level. Its patented hood design completely eliminates overspray, protecting the environment and ensuring a safer workspace for operators.
Over the past years, the 10Q™ robot has been deployed across more than 30 successful projects worldwide, serving major oil and tank storage operators in leading ports such as the Rotterdam Maasvlakte Olie Terminal in the Netherlands.

Our Motion System
The magnetic crawler robot adheres directly to the steel surface and enables highly precise coating application with real-time quality monitoring and uniform layers. Its wall-bound design enables safe ground-level operation, and its advanced motion system delivers swift speed coating with high efficiency.
Our Spray Shielding System
Our patented hood captures airborne paint particles to deliver a controlled coating process with virtually zero overspray. This enables high transfer efficiency over more than 200 m², even in windy conditions up to 4 Bft, while significantly reducing paint use, microplastics, and VOC emissions.
Our Paint System
The Qlayers Paint System (QPS ) maintains optimal spray conditions through advanced controls and a reliable 2K pumping setup, providing automatic alerts on tip wear, clogging, or pot-life issues for consistent operations.
Our Remote
The remote control enables operators to work safely from the ground, minimising exposure to hazardous fumes and risky heights.

” The 10Q robot test was carried out on a tank of D 42m X H 18m located at the Exolum plant in Torrejón de Ardoz, Spain. The test took two days (implementation and painting) and covered an area of 187 m2 on the outer surface of the tank. We had a very good impression and a great experience working with the Qlayers team. Our feeling was that the progress was faster than expected.
The main advantages are application with an airless gun, therefore, a higher quality, reduction of the hours dedicated to working at height (although not 100%), higher performance than with manual application methods and conservation of the environment by not emitting vapours into the atmosphere due to the ventilation system of the robot. It is a much more advanced method than the current ones and, of course, recommended. I believe that the future of coating application is already here.”
