Qlayers’ CEO, Josefien Groot, was a guest speaker at ASME’s Robotics for Inspection & Maintenance Summit, presenting the company’s innovative solution for a safe and efficient tank recoating.
During the online session, Josefien Groot and Edgar van der Ende, from VDE steel protectors group discussed the advantage that Qlayers new technology offers for coating contractors as well as storage tank asset owners.
Qlayers’ automated paint robot is a new, safe, and efficient solution for tank recoating and has already been deployed by Van Der Ende in a few commercial assignments.
The robot is equipped with a patented spray shielding system that applies coatings at a speed of 200m2/h, in a fully controlled manner and without any overspray.
