Qlayers operations team have successfully passed the course “Train the Painter”, organized by AkzoNobel, which offered them valuable technical insights into protective coating’s variety, surface preparation techniques, paint application, inspection, and quality control.
The training program consisted of bronze and silver spray models that combined theoretical and practical learning. The theoretical training covered a wide range of topics, such as safety guidelines, anti-corrosive paints, manual application techniques, and surface preparation inspection.
It was followed by an intensive two-day practical training, where the team applied their knowledge and experimented with various surface preparation and application techniques. Next to that, they also got to with conventional methods that are still being used in industrial coatings, like painting with brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
