Qlayers showcased the 10Q robot for coating storage tanks at the OFTEC Open House Demo Days.
Organized by OFTEC, the Open House Demo Days offered a unique platform for regional industry specialists, contractors, and asset owners to uncover the latest advancements in industrial surface preparation and coating application technologies.
Standing alongside 15 other well-known innovative technology providers and developers, Qlayers presented the 10Q robot, an innovative solution for coating storage tank exteriors. The solution consists of a magnetic crawler equipped with Qlayers’ patented spray shielding system and a trailer that contains the paint systems. Qlayers robotic solution enables coating contractors to replace manual applications with a semi-automated method, which results in higher operations speed, efficiency, and safety.
The event’s highlight was live demonstrations of surface cleaning and blasting robotic equipment, followed by knowledge sharing and insightful conversations between attendees and technology providers.
