Qlayers unveiled the 10Q version 3 in a private ceremony with partners from Van der Ende Steel Protectors Group.
This robot will be the new addition to Van der Ende’s 10Q fleet to serve their customers with more upcoming coating projects in the Netherlands.
“Since we trust that (semi-) automated coating of tanks will become the industry standard after the successful introduction of the 10Q, we decided to order two more robots to be able to roll out the robotic coating of tanks throughout our operation by the end of 2022. We’re very glad to have Qlayers as our partner.” said Edgar Van der Ende, responsible for optimization & innovation at Van der Ende Steel Protectors Group.
Qlayers is honored to have such a great long-term partnership with Van der Ende, and we are grateful for their confidence in our coating solution.
“Van der Ende has been our very first 10Q customer and together, we coated the first storage tanks back in 2020. By extending their 10Q fleet and adopting our high technology, Van der Ende positions themselves as a truly innovative company with which we are proud to work with.” said Josefien Groot, CEO and co-founder of Qlayers during the unveiling ceremony.
The 10Q is the industry’s first coating robot that enables contractors to (re)paint storage tank exteriors faster, with higher safety standards and no overspray.
Some of the top enhancements in 10Q version 3 include: 40% higher speed, more robust mechanical and electrical design, and improved sensors for better obstacle detection and better driving performance.
