Qlayers’ 10Q robot had been chosen by Technology Catalogue as one of the top 3 finalists of the “Safety” category in 2021 Tech for the Energy Transition Awards.
Tech for the Energy Transition is a first-ever tech awards launched by Technology Catalogue to recognize technologies and innovations that help current industries reduce their carbon footprint and make the energy transition to become a reality.
Qlayers’ nominated technology, the 10Q paint robot enables the coating contractors around the world to carry out the coating application process with high efficiency and high safety standards. During the application process, painters can operate the robot from a safe distance on the ground using user-friendly controllers while receiving live reports on parameters such as layer thickness, coating speed and temperature. This semi-automated coating technique reduces the number of working hours at dangerous heights by 80%, minimizing the risks of possible injuries caused by working on suspended platforms and scaffolding.
In addition, our robots are equipped with a patented spray shielding system that prevents the sprayed paint particles from being released into the air. Eliminating the overspray not only minimizes the workers exposure to toxic paint fumes but also makes the coating process more environmentally friendly.
