ABOUT THE JOB

As a Project Engineer within our Operations Team, you will be supporting operational assignments globally. Together with your team you will ensure operational excellence, by controlling the quality of work through great attention for detail and consistently following the right steps. You will be heavily involved in onsite work with our innovative coating machine. You will travel the world to operate our robots, teach our customers all the ins and outs of the system, and troubleshoot during complex situations.  

Your key responsibilities:

At the office 

• Gain in-depth theoretical & practical knowledge of the Qlayers’ robotic fleet
• Preparation of projects globally
• Assist your lead in planning operations
• Assist in the logistics of spare parts / assemblies
• Remotely support the Qlayers’ operations teams globally.

In field / training facilities globally 

• Gain in-depth practical knowledge of the 10Q robot in operation
• Support our global partner in servicing and troubleshooting the robot onsite
• Maintain good relations with our clients, you are the face of the company
• Train personnel to work with our robotic equipment
• Provide accurate documentation on the performance of our equipment.

We are looking for

Professional qualifications and skills:

• MBO / HBO level of working and thinking. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems. Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics background preferred 
• Minimum 1 year of technical experience. Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is nice to have, but not mandatory 
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, Dutch is nice to have 
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-based environment
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail 
• Willingness to travel internationally (30–50%) and work the hours necessary to enable the business to continually exceed expectations.
