ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced systems for coating applications. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new Qlayers solutions by integrating different pump units for various spray applications. The position will focus on developing surface finishing solutions ready for commercial launch into the market.

Your key responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of new systems focusing on integration of standard pumping units for various spray applications incorporating closed-loop control.
• Design and develop surface activation systems aimed at improving coating performance.
• Collaborate with material scientists to optimize the system for a wide range of substrates and ensure industrial-grade performance.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure system performance and reliability in high-demand industrial settings.
• Take ownership of mechanical design, prototyping, component selection and system integration for the assigned projects including design calculations, data analysis, test plans and reporting.
• Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including electrical, software, and robotics engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components with the overall system.
• Provide global technical support for both potential and existing customers.
• Assist the Sales Department with support & preparation of technical literature.

 

We are looking for

Professional qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on product development, system integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
  • Strong understanding of material science, fluid dynamics, and mechanical system optimization.
  • Expertise in pump systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with surface treatment technologies, such as plasma and corona treatment systems, is a plus.
  • Experience in industrial coatings, manufacturing processes, or the aerospace and automotive industries.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Salary range of EUR 3200-4500 gross per month. The exact amount depends on the seniority of the candidate.
