ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our product portfolio by developing, integrating and delivering new surface finishing and quality solutions with our patented technology and make it commercially ready to launch. This position also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to further develop the Qlayers’ patented microstructure printhead.

Your key responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and integration and testing of new solutions for surface preparation and inspection.
• Collaborate with electrical, automation, and materials teams to further build on Qlayers’ Microstructure application technology.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure system performance and reliability in high-demand industrial settings.
• Take ownership of mechanical design, prototyping, component selection and system integration for the assigned projects including design calculations, data analysis, test plans and reporting.
• Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including electrical, software, and robotics engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components with the overall system.
• Provide global technical support for both potential and existing customers.
• Assist the Sales Department with support & preparation of technical literature.

 

We are looking for

Professional qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on product development and system integration.
• Expertise in mechanical design, prototyping, and testing of complex industrial systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA)
• Experience with laser systems, sensors, or robotics is a plus.
• Experience in the aerospace, automotive, or industrial coatings industry.
• Hands-on experience with laser-based technologies, coating systems, or surface treatment applications.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies.
• Familiarity with robotic systems and their integration into manufacturing or demonstration setups is a plus.

  • Salary range of EUR 3200-4500 gross per month. The exact amount depends on the seniority of the candidate.
