ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an ambitious and strategic Global Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of our global distribution network and drive long-term growth through strategic partnerships. In this key role, you will focus on identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with distributors worldwide, enabling our solutions to reach new markets while meeting operational and financial objectives.

You will work closely with local regulators, top asset owners, and key market players to promote product adoption, establish sustainability practices, and create win-win partnerships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine business development expertise with global impact in a rapidly growing industry.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market assessments to identify growth opportunities and develop data-driven strategies for market entry and expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local regulators, asset owners, and key decision-makers to drive product adoption and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Select and onboard distributors as local full-service providers, ensuring alignment with company standards and values.
  • Negotiate and establish exclusivity agreements tied to minimum order quantities (MOQs), creating long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Travel internationally (up to one week per month) to assess new markets, meet with potential distributors, and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align distributor strategies with broader business goals, ensuring seamless execution and operational excellence.

We are looking for

Professional qualifications and skills:

  • Extensive experience in business development, distributor sales, and market assessment, with a proven track record of driving growth through strategic partnerships.
  • Solid understanding of the petrochemical industry or closely related sectors, with the ability to navigate technical and regulatory complexities.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage long-term distributor relationships, including exclusivity agreements and financial KPIs.
  • Experience working with regulators and asset owners to drive market adoption and ensure sustainability.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with a proven history of success in distributor sales and global business development.
  • Availability to work from Qlayers HQ in Delft an average of three days per week.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally frequently (approximately one week per month).

  • Gross monthly salary €5000 – €6500. The exact amount depends on the seniority of the candidate.
