ABOUT THE JOB

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing cutting-edge automatic applicator systems for industrial coating application. You will leverage your expertise in electrical design, compliance with safety standards, and familiarity with advanced tools like EPLAN P8 to develop innovative and high-performance solutions. Your key responsibilities:

  • Create and optimize detailed electrical schematics and layouts using tools like EPLAN P8 (or similar)
  • Design and implement electrical systems in compliance with NEN 3140, IEC 60204-1, and Machinery Directive/CE standards
  • Identify and integrate appropriate sensors based on system requirements and specifications
  • Evaluate and select components to enhance machine performance and reliability
  • Assemble and test electrical cabinets, circuits, and prototypes to ensure functionality and safety
  • Apply electromagnetic compatibility principles in the design of machine systems
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.

We are looking for

Professional qualifications and skills:

 

Must have:

  • M.Sc./BSc/BA degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with EPLAN P8 (or similar) for electrical schematics design.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of electrical system design and implementation.
  • Good understanding of EMC principles, Machinery Directive and CE compliance.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to actively work in the lab, troubleshooting and testing prototypes.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Basic programming knowledge in Python or C
  • Hands-on experience programming PLCs for industrial automation
  • Knowledge of ISO 13849 functional safety standards for machinery
  • Familiarity with NEN 3140 and IEC 60204- safety standards and ATEX certification.
